VI - Morocco

In May-Jun 2009 we spent 2 weeks in Morocco looking for fossils and minerals.

There was our second trip to Morocco this year. This time we went there only for two weeks in the end of spring - for that reason it was really hot especially in the middle of desert. We visited the same localities as always - Bou Azzer, Sidi Rahhal, Taouz, Erfoud, Mibladen, El Bega. We had the opportunity to buy some amethistes, geothites from the new finds, we also brought a lot of interesting fossils including trilobites and big plates of crinoids. Unfortunately it was not the best time to look for and buy the minerals because most of the people works on their fields at this seazon, for that reason much less specimens are mined.  Neverless we were very satisfied with the trip - Morocco is a great country not only because of minerals of course!
